MoonWave as born...
From the blending of two dreams: Ana’s long-held desire to create a jewelry brand with gemstones and Marcello’s goal of exploring new business opportunities. In May 2022, Ana traveled to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, to visit her family after six years apart. During her stay, her father took her to open a bank account, where she met Marcello, who was a manager there. In conversation, Marcello mentioned that his father-in-law owned a family-operated jewelry studio, specializing in natural gemstones and asked if Ana might be interested in bringing some of these unique pieces to the U.S.
Ana shared that she had sold semi jewelry in the past but had to pause her business due to personal challenges. Her passion for it had quieted over time, yet she still dreamed of creating pieces that were more than just beautiful—she wanted them to be one-of-a-kind, honoring her Brazilian heritage and local artisans, rather than being mass-produced. In December 2023, Ana returned to Brazil, visited the jewelry studio, and saw the gemstones in person. It was love at first sight. She returned to Florida with her heart full of inspiration, though still uncertain about taking on such a new venture.
Then, in February 2024, Marcello decided to visit Florida to explore the market, which sparked new ideas for the brand. Yet the project lay dormant for months, as both Ana and Marcello were dedicated to their current jobs. But God had different plans for them. Unexpectedly, Ana’s work hours and salary were reduced, leaving her feeling unsure about her future and bringing her to realize that God might be guiding her toward her jewelry dream. With renewed courage, she spoke with Marcello about her decision to fully commit to making their dream a reality.
In July 2024, the vision for MoonWave began to take shape—the colors, the name, and the designs they would create. By September, Marcello returned to Florida, and together they officially launched MoonWave.
